Introducing Ajay M Aravind – who is our next speaker for WordCamp Kochi 2019.

Ajay is An Entrepreneur who is in love with WordPress. He is the Founder and CEO of Midnay, a WordPress Agency based out of Kozhikode.

Ajay has been working with WordPress for 12 years in several roles, including that of a developer, architect, and a support person, to name a few. He has also served in advisory roles and has contributed significantly to the WordPress community. His passion is to make people smile with the help of WordPress and its core principles.

Ajay will be presenting a lightning talk on the topic – Building a WordPress Agency.

Through his session, Ajay will talk about his 12 years of experience working with WordPress. He will share his story: On how he started working with WordPress, and what made him stay with WordPress. He will also talk about how he formed an agency, and worked with his first client. He will also share how to make the right choices within WordPress (be it your WordPress project, or an agency), and why WordPress is here to stay.

Hardeep Asrani will take a Workshop about Building Blocks for Gutenberg

Excited to announce our next workshop for WordCamp Kochi 2019, by none other than Hardeep Asrani

Hardeep Asrani is a developer and Star Wars fan from Kanpur. He loves contributing to the WordPress community in many ways, including support, themes, plugins and more. You can find him on the WordPress Slack pretty much all the time exploring different parts of the WordPress community.

Hardeep will be conducting a workshop on – Building Blocks for Gutenberg at WordCamp Kochi 2019.

In his workshop, you will learn how to build custom Gutenberg WordPress editor blocks for your themes and plugins. After participating in this workshop, you will get a good idea on:

  1. How to create a Gutenberg block.
  2. How to make your theme/plugin Gutenberg compatible.

We request all our attendees to bring their laptops along with NPM/node.js installed, WordPress installed locally on their website, and a code editor, like Visual Studio Code or Atom in order to make the most of Hardeep’s workshops.

Meet Sudeep our next speaker for Malayalam session

Excited to announce our first speaker for a Malayalam Session at WordCamp KochiSudeep S.

Sudeep is a technology enthusiast who is passionate about coding and design. Coding gives the greatest joy to him. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Language and Literature, but possesses extraordinary love for engineering.

Whatever he has learned or achieved so far is a result of his hard work and perseverance. He believes that learning by oneself is more fun and experimenting can teach you a lot more than what you can learn from a textbook.

His talk on Malayalam will be for the topic – What Is WordPress and How to get started with it

The topic is to discuss all that WordPress is about. The session is planned as an Introduction to WordPress, and is aimed at beginners. Introducing our next speaker for WordCamp Kochi 2019Anitaa Murthy!

A software developer from Chennai, India, Anitaa is a member of the Automattic mobile team where she works on WordPress and WooCommerce for Android apps. She has previously worked in multiple startups in and around India – where she specialized in building mobile apps related to advertising and payment at Airloyal and Brontoo.
