Meet Shifa Shaji – who is our next speaker for WordCamp Kochi 2019. Shifa started her career as a PHP developer, and eventually, got hooked to the world of WordPress. Her career in WordPress started after joining Appmaker.xyz. At Appmaker, she specializes in WordPress plugin development.

Introducing Rohan Sadanandan who will talk about Internationalization and Localization

Rohan Sadanandan is our next speaker for WordCamp Kochi 2019.

Rohan works for OnTheGoSystems( the company behind WPML & Toolset) as WordPress Technical Support Engineer for the WPML plugin. He has more than ten years of experience in WordPress. Prior to joining OnTheGoSystems, Rohan was working as a PHP Web Developer & has developed hundreds of sites with WordPress over a span of 10 years. He has also developed several custom themes and plugins in WordPress. He loves to experiment with WordPress and has a passion to contribute to the WordPress community.

Jack Lenox will talk about better performing websites can help save the planet

We are excited to announce the next speaker at WordCamp Kochi 2019 – and that’s none other than Jack Lenox!

Jack is a Software Engineer on the WordPress VIP team at Automattic. He is very interested in environmental issues and is currently working towards an MSc in Sustainability and Behaviour Change. A parliamentary candidate for the Green Party of England and Wales, Jack is based out of Keswick, United Kingdom. Jack is also the point-person behind https://sustywp.com/ which is a practical initiative to make WordPress websites faster and more sustainable. Meet our next speaker for WordCamp Kochi 2019 – Aditya Kane

Aditya works on the WordPress Community Team. He has lived much of his life in the two cities of Mumbai and Pune in India. He loves reading books and secretly wants to be a world-famous philosopher. He believes that the core tenets of Open Source culture and philosophy should make its way into education, politics, law, economics and more.

Aditya will be presenting a lightning session on the topic Building and nurturing a local open-source community

He will give us a quick grasp about the importance of local open source communities, meetups, and how regular meetups help with building up a strong community.
